Halifax is a small historic town in Yorkshire, but this small town name is well-known due to the the history of large corporations that have started doing business here. Halifax Bank has been trading since 1853 as a building society and only recently got taken over by Lloyds Banking Group. Also Halifax was internationally famous for its Macknitosh chocolate and toffee, now taken over by the multinational company Nestle.
